An agent's first job on this microsite was not to write code. It was to read the building. Tokens were already pouring through a CI pipeline. A typography library was already licensed. The voice library was on main. The construction had a shape before the agent had a keyboard, and the first useful move was to learn what shape that was.
Read the dispatch→A token pipeline reads as plumbing. Penpot exports a JSON file, a build script transforms it, three target formats emerge. Read it again and it is a constitution. Every component that ships will inherit it. Every brand decision committed at the token layer is committed everywhere, before any component has been written.
The dispatch collection has a Zod schema. Title, kicker, dek, author, date, reading time, provenance lane, tags. A reader sees none of it. An agent drafting an entry meets every field. The schema is the publish gate's first reviewer, and it works before any prose has been read.
The Editorial District has a map. The map is expensive, layered, and often half-hidden. It is the visual hero of the publication. It is also not the product. Building an atmosphere that stays beneath the prose, instead of competing with it, is a discipline most marketing sites do not attempt and most map apps cannot resist.
A dispatch becomes canon at the publish gate. The Reviewer reads. The DLDS lane is attested. The build passes. The deploy ships. Before the gate, the dispatch is a file on a working branch. After the gate, it is part of the record. The transition takes seconds. The discipline that made the seconds safe took months.
DISpatch is a dev-diary magazine and the first published Building in Prime's Editorial District. It is a serialized editorial publication that documents the construction of Prime City from inside the work, with each dispatch serving as a chapter in the larger story of building agentically.
